About us
Douglas is a vibrant Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. Established in 1997, from humble beginnings with just a handful of members, the branch has continued to grow and prosper. We now have a membership of over 450 ranging in age from five to eighty five years old who attend classes each Wednesday night in Gaelscoil na Dúglaise in the heart of Douglas village, in Cork City. Classes
All our classes take place each Wednesday evening from 4pm to 9.90pm in Gaelscoil na Dúglaise. We offer classes from all levels from beginner to advanced in all instruments listed below.
All students are graded by teacher according to their musical ability. We aim to keep all class sizes as small as possible to ensure students have sufficient time with the teacher. All classes are 30mins long with Grùpa/Ceilí Band classes 60 mins.
