COMHALTAS CEOLTOIRI ÉIREANN

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (commonly known as Comhaltas) was formed 1951 and is the largest organisation involved in the preservation and promotion of Irish traditional music. It is a non-profit cultural movement with hundreds of local branches in Ireland and around the world. Comhaltas functions with a structure similar to that of the GAA, i.e. local branch, County, Provincial, and All-Ireland level.

It is probably best known as the organiser of the All-Ireland Fleadh each year where the best are crowned All-Ireland champions.
